The new 2011 BMW 5 Serial made its US debut just a few months ago and recent sales figure and reports from BMW dealerships indicate a strong need for the new, redesigned 5er.

With a toll point at the same level or lower than the previous generation, the F10 v Series sedan has quickly become a hot commodity for BMW dealerships. While the high-end 550i model leads the sales, our favorite has always been the twin-turbo three.0 liter 535i model.

The new 535i features the new turbocharged three.0-liter N55 twin-whorl turbo, and equipped with the new eight-speed automatic, the car weighs 3,880 pounds. The new inline-6 of the BMW 535i features High Precision direct injection, and, for the first time, VALVETRONIC throttle-less intake engineering science.

The N55 engine produces 302 horsepower at five,800-6,400 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque from one,200-5,000 rpm. The 2011 BMW 535i runs from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds.

Overall, the 535i has received positive reviews from most of the automotive journalists, including the at present famous Jeremy Clarkson. His verdict: "basically, it's a very, very skilful Austin Seven." In all its fairness, in that location take been also reports mentioning some quirks found within the car, as seen in our review also. Well-nigh of the negative points were given to the electrical steering wheel, lack of connexion with the road and driver interest.

Adjacent in line to review the 5 Series are the folks over at Consumer Reports, the respectable entity that can and has influenced the decision of many buyers, from cars to electronics and other consumer products.
